Cousin Camp

So let's just start off this post by saying that Luke and Ruby love and idolize Gavin.  He is the best older cousin and when they are together he is mostly the ringleader of fun, with a little bit of drill sergeant thrown in to keep everyone in line. The kids are always trying to scheme for a sleepover so when they finally got the chance, they took full advantage.  Gavin stayed for two nights and days and when he left, they were all so sad to have the fun end.

Tim always makes sure the kids have the best adventures.  I don't know which they like better at Maceys, the ice cream, or the chance to take a picture with the gorilla. Having Taylor join them for ice cream made it even more fun.

There was a lot of food and fuel...

They needed plenty of energy for all of the play time

These two were so funny when it came time to sleep.  We had a cot in Luke's room for Gavin to sleep on, but they wanted to sleep the same way.  They first started off with both on the cot - toe to toe.  They figured out pretty quickly that it was way to squishy so they tried a few other options before finally falling asleep like this.  Silly boys!

The second day together ended up being a party - literally.  Luke had two friends' birthday parties and both said that Ruby and Gavin were welcome.  The first party was for Koa and they swam at his grandpa's swimming pool.  Once again, there appears to be plenty of ice cream.

The next party was for Luke's friend Isaac and was at an indoor playground

The boys had the best time playing together and were pretty good about letting Ruby be involved with most of their activities.  We did let her go play at a friend's house for one afternoon so the boys would be alone, but otherwise, the three of them were mostly together.  This was definitely the best "cousin camp" yet and I'm pretty sure the kids are already planning their next sleepover.
