Catch Up

I have had really good intentions to post for the past two weeks but somehow haven't found the time. I am starting to think that planning a wedding, training for a marathon and a 100 mile bike ride, working full time, etc. might be a little much. Besides all of that, there have been a lot of fun times.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY
I cannot believe I am 37 years old. My birthday fell on a Saturday this year and I had a fabulous day. I slept in extremely late. Once I finally rolled out of bed, Tim and I went on an 18 mile run, afterall, it was the 18th of April. We had a really great run from my house up into the canyon, it was beautiful. We spent the rest of the afternoon and evening driving to ParkCity where we wandered around Main Street and then had dinner at the Baja Cantina. The chips and salsa were amazing and we had a great time together.

BABY GAVIN
Jarin and Jami welcomed a new little one on Easter Sunday. He is the sweetest little man.

How cute are those ears!

EASTER EGG HUNT
Miles loved the cupcakes.
Ada did not love it when Miles dumped her entire basket of eggs.

Engagement Photos

This post is long overdue. Jami is the most amazing photographer. We had so much fun taking pictures. Turns out I have a hard time keeping my eyes open, but Jami still found a way to make both of us look great.

General Conference

Tim was given tickets to the Saturday morning session of General Conference. He has never been to conference and I have only been once so we were excited to go. It meant getting up really early (too bad it wasn't a Sunday, then I could have bypassed the gym), and walking through some slushy weather, but it was well worth it. You would never know by the coats and boots, and the snow that it was April, I just have to keep reminding myself that this is life in Utah.

We got in and got seated and had about 30 minutes before conference was to start. Don't worry though, we didn't have the opportunity to get bored. The kid next to us had the music playing on his phone - no headphones, and it was definitely not the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Somehow he must have thought it was a nice addition to the prelude music. I decided later that I really must be getting old because not only did I not say anything to him about it, I didn't even give him the evil eye.
The talks and music were really nice, I even stayed awake for all of it. Tim and I were both glad that we had made the effort to go, and agreed that we will do it again.
As an added bonus, we stopped for Chipolte and shopping at the new Nordstrom Rack on the way home. It was a great Saturday.
