Happy Birthday Hamilton - 2 years old in 2022

Hamilton turned two on September 29th and we really couldn't love him more.  He is completely spoiled by all of us - and I have stopped being embarrassed by it.  He is really just the sweetest most social puppy and we are so lucky to have him in our family.

Nothing better than a playdate with his bestie.

August Miscellaneous, 2022

August had some big events, but the every day moments are where some of our happiest memories were made.  Tim and I had the best night out together.  We went for burgers but stayed for axe throwing and loved every minute of our time together.

Turns out, one of us was better at axe throwing than the other!

We celebrated the birthday of our very favorite guy.

The Hamilton obsession is still going strong.

Ruby's favorite part of the BYU Football facilities tour was meeting the cheerleaders.

Ruby has the cutest friends.

Chalk the Block is one of our very favorite events of the summer.

The kids and I spent the best Saturday afternoon at the Museum of Natural Curiosity

We loved welcoming cute Sister Nye (Abby) home from her mission.

Might be one of my very favorite pictures.  Luke has discovered a love of reading the funnies so my friend at work brings hers to me each week.  Walking out and finding him reading the paper while eating his breakfast just brought me so much joy.

Back to School, 2022

Back to school is the very best/worst time of the year.  I love the excitement of new beginnings, but it just hurts my heart a little each year as I realize that my time with these kids just keeps speeding along.

Luke went back to Sunset View and CAS this year.  Transferring to CAS for his 4th grade year came with a lot of apprehension, but this year, Luke was just so excited for his 5th grade year.  Mrs. Metz is known as a favorite teacher and as soon as we arrived at back to school night it was so easy to see why.  Her classroom theme is Harry Potter and Luke was thrilled to be immersed in this magical world.  The sorting hat pronounced him a member of Griffyndor house and he was thrilled to be joined by so many of his buddies.  There was no doubt that this was going to be an awesome school year.

For the past two years Ruby has talked constantly about wanting to be in Mr. Rowley's class.  He had such an amazing impact on Luke when he was in his class, and Ruby wanted to make sure she also got to experience the Mr. Rowley magic.  She was so relieved when she found out that she was officially in his class.  Back to school night was really just a celebration of her finally making it.  To be honest, we were just as excited as Ruby that she was going to be in Mr. Rowley's class.  He has a unique ability to make kids feel so important and loved, and what more could we want for her.

There were a few nerves and jitters the morning of the first day, but mostly there was just a lot of excitement.  The kids are great to humor me with way too many pictures, but I just really love trying to capture their unique personalities.  I have a feeling that this may be one of our best school years ever.
