June Miscellaneous 2020

Just a few last bits and pieces from the Month of June that I wanted to remember.

The kids built beds out of a large cardboard box and had so much fun creating their own little homes and world. Luke stayed in there all night, but Ruby didn't last quite that long.

Luke has loved his pet fish Nemo and took such good care of him.  Unfortunately, one morning he wasn't moving and I had to deliver the bad news that Nemo had died.  Oh, it was such a sad morning at our house.  We all felt so sad to lose this little fish, but Luke was especially upset.  He found a box to use as a casket and we buried him out by Everest.  Luke made a gravestone with Nemo's name , a picture of the fish, and the year he died.  I think that made him feel a little better, but he was just so sad to have lost his very first pet.  Sometimes life lessons can just feel like too much.  RIP Nemo.

Luke had a nasty fall on his scooter while headed to tennis camp
Tim was there and caught the whole thing.

Luke was brave and tried out for a soccer team.  After 9 months of not playing,
he was a little rusty. But he still had a lot of fun.

Nighttime always include Piggy, and usually a few extra friends.

Luke and Drake needed a break from the heat.

Ruby loved having a play date with Anna and Mary.

Another tooth lost.

After months of babying my garden,
I was pretty excited to harvest my cabbages.

Fun in the Sun - The June Edition, 2020

A lot of things have looked different this summer...so many canceled plans.  But the summer sun, and outdoor fun were definitely not canceled, and the kid have had the best time soaking it all up.

Tim's backyard hot tub has become
the neighborhood place for fun.

But the Greene's backyard has been a close second.

Seven Peaks re-opened as Splash Summit and the kids talked us into getting passes.  They are big enough to have fun in the wave pool and to go on most of the slides.  It has been one of our favorite places to play this summer.

Even Tim joined in on the fun.

Ruby, Luke and Sonny having a great race

Summit Splash is even more fun with friends.

We re-discovered the beach at Utah Lake State Park
And have loved the sand, and lack of crowds.

The indoor and outdoor pools at the Provo Rec
Have been the perfect place to play.

This hat has been Tim's favorite summer companion.

Nothing better than a summer scooter gang.

Father's Day, 2020

Father's Day this year was pretty low key - but we were able to celebrate with all of the family together which was fantastic. On Sunday morning, the big kids came down and we had a big brunch.  They were all so sweet and thoughtful and Tim loved having all of the kids together.

Luke and Ruby worked hard on their special gifts...

And everyone cooperated with all of the photo requests.

We had dinner Sunday night in Santaquin and celebrated my dad, brothers and Tim.

We were able to go to Tim's parents the day before and have dinner and celebrate with his dad.  His brother Ryan and his boys were there and the cousins had so much fun together on the trampoline.
