Golden Anniversary

On December 27th Tim's parents celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.  Pretty impressive.  It's unlikely that Tim and I will match their achievement but we can always set our goals high and follow their example.  They had a party with close friends and family where they talked a lot about the history of their courtship and life together.  It was especially fun for me to hear the stories, most of them for the first time.  Their children and grandchildren have been forever blessed by their relationship and I was grateful to be apart of the celebration.

As a couple, as well as the kids, grandkids, etc.

They had a display table with lots of photos
And other momentos from their life together.
I especially loved seeing Gayle's wedding dress.

No one was sure if they originally had a wedding cake,
Or what it looked like,
But they definitely enjoyed the chance
To cut and eat a celebratory wedding/anniversary cake.

It was a perfect ending to have the happy couple share a dance.
