Puppy Love

Luke and Ruby are completely obsessed with dogs.  We have a ridiculous amount of stuffed puppies, Ruby often pretends to be a puppy and we have to take her for walks, they get excited about every dog we see, and they have been begging ever since Everest died for our family to get a new puppy.  The last few months there have been so many puppies in our life and it has been awesome.  First, Jami and Jarin's dog had a litter of 6 Frenchtons,  then Mandy Jean and Cory's had a litter of 9 Doodles and finally, our neighbors brought home a new dog.  We have had the best time loving and cuddling on all of these new pups, there is no way to hold a puppy and not feel happy.

As soon as we heard that the six Frenchtons had been born, we headed down to meet them.  They were so little, and so sweet, we could hardly stand to leave.  The kids were positive we needed our own.

Getting bigger...we finally took Tim to meet the Frenchtons

This mama did such a great job.

As soon as she heard that Cory and MJ's nine Doodle puppies were born, Ruby started begging to go visit.  They were so tiny at our first visit and we had so much fun snuggling them all.

This little one didn't like to eat so Ruby used all of her best doctoring skills

She thought the puppies would love playing with her puppy friend.

As the Frenchton puppies got bigger, they were ready for more adventures.

Cousins and puppies, what could be better!

One last visit with the Frenchtons before they left to be with their new families.
We were all heartbroken to say goodbye.

This was Luke's first time meeting the Doodles and he was just as smitten as we were.

They were finally big enough to come to Sunday dinner.

This really has been the summer of puppies.  Just when Luke and Ruby were getting sad that all of the "cousin puppies" would be gone, our neighbors brought home Cupcake.  We are absolutely loving this new, fuzzy neighbor and the kids are more than happy to puppysit and help with walks.

Our last visit with the Doodles was so bittersweet.  The kids had so much fun playing with all of the puppies and it was pretty sad to think that they were one their way to new families.  The kids enjoyed every minute of their last night together.

I think the love was mutual!

Can you spot the puppy?

All of this love might have been enough to melt my Cruella heart,
Don't be surprised if we end up with our own puppy before too long.
