Fall Soccer, 2019

For the past few years, back to school has also meant fall soccer.  This season was definitely interesting for Ruby.  Coach Tara wasn't planning to coach which meant she would need to play with a new team.  I ended up signing her up late, so she was put on a team that played on the East side of Provo.  It was a little frustrating to drive 20 minutes for her games when the West side league plays at our elementary school, but we ended up really loving the team.  Her coach was great and it was a really fun group of kids and parents.  We had a lot of games that were super hot which was a little tough - we only lasted one game before we immediately went in search of large umbrellas.  The season felt like it flew by, and ended before any of us were quite ready.

Luke had the best team this season - most of the boys were friends from school or the neighborhood and they all really had so much fun together.  Tim coached the team again and really worked to help them learn new skills.  He especially tried to teach and remind them to pass - it didn't happy often, but when it did, it was a beautiful thing to see.  Luke had been a little unsure whether or not he wanted to play this season, but he ended up having a great time and was sad to see it end.
