Park City June 2017

Last weekend we took a little mini getaway to Park City - one of our favorite places.  In fact, as I was posting these photos I realized that the ones I took this weekend look almost the same as so many I have posted before.  We had a few new adventures this time, but realistically the kids mostly want to spend all of their time playing at the pool and in the hotel.

The kids haven't ever been on the Alpine slide and we decided they were old enough to add to our tradition.  On the way there they were both a little nervous about riding up the lift and then how fast the sleds would go down the mountain, but it only took a few minutes for them to decide it was amazing.  We were able to go down side by side and the kids screamed and laughed the entire way.  I let Ruby be in charge and I was surprised at how fast she wanted to go.  In fact, her favorite thing was to come to a complete stop and then take off and push the lever to go as fast as possible.  The only problem with introducing them to the slide was that they immediately wanted to go again, and again.

After a tough slide down, snow cones were a must!

When we got back to the hotel Ruby wasted no time getting ready to swim.

We finished the evening with a sunset and smores,
Perfect ending to the day.

Friday morning the kids were ready to swim by about 9:00 a.m. and we didn't return to the room until after 5:00 p.m.  They definitely know how to put in a full day's work.  They swam most of the day and took a few breaks for a picnic lunch and to play some games in the kids club.  I loved watching them have so much fun together, and of course, I love being part of the fun.

She is so proud of her hula hoop skills.

Luke worked so hard on his Eiffel Tower

The deck had even more fun games

We finally got the kids out of the pool and cleaned up so we could go have some dinner.  Baja Cantina is one of our favorite traditions and it was next to our hotel so it was perfect for a nice walk.

We tried teaching the kids about the mining history in Park City,
They were more interested in playing in the rail carts.

Luke lobbied for another night of smores and clearly won...

For our last morning we did a little of all of our favorites, hula hoop, Sonny the bird, and soaking up the last few hours at the pool.  We are already looking forward to our next trip to Park City.
