Moab - March, 2021

Over the past year we have explored so many awesome places in Utah and it finally seemed time for us to take our adventures to Moab.  It has been years since Tim and I had been to Moab, and it was the first time for Luke, Ruby and Hamilton. Turns out, Moab is as amazing as it has ever been.

We started out at Corona Arch.  Traveling and hiking with a dog was a new thing for us so we tried to search for trails that were dog friendly.  This was the perfect place to start - the trail was a little challenging, but not too tough for the kids.  We love the red/slickrock and there were beautiful views for miles.  And once we finally saw the arch, wow, it was seriously so impressive.

Luke was the best little mountain goat.

Saturday morning we headed out early to make sure we could get into Arches National Park (it had been closed/full the first time we tried).  The kids were really excited to hike to the arch on the license plate, and the drive through the park is one of my very favorites.

It's iconic for a reason!

This is as close as we got,
My people refused to hike down for a closer shot!

I don't remember going to the Fiery Furnace before - totally reminded us of Bryce.

After two days of hiking, the kids were dying to see the shops.

Ruby and Tim found t-shirts,
But Luke and I couldn't leave without a new hat.

On our way home, we stopped at Dead Horse Point State Park and are kinda obsessed with the views.  Honestly, it was a little freaky to look down 2,000 feet, and imagine how many horses fell off of the edge.  But it was just so cool that we couldn't stop looking.  Don't worry, we kept the kids close, and held their hands near any of the edges.

Besties!

This is what a spoiled puppy in a hotel looks like...... Traveling with a dog was definitely a new experience for us, but I'm sure this is just the beginning of a lifetime of dog friendly trips.
