Christmas Lights, 2020

A lot of our Christmas traditions or bucket list activities were canceled this year, and the kids were pretty sad to miss out on some of our favorites.  Luckily, Christmas lights weren't canceled and this year there seemed to be so many amazing displays.  We definitely enjoyed all of the lights on houses as we drove around town.  There were a few special events where the lights were really spectacular.

Provo City hosted a winter market in the park down town.  I drive past this park every night after work and was able to enjoy the lights every day.  But it was super fun to go to the park with Ruby girl and enjoy the magic of the lights through her eyes.  The night of the market was really cold, but we bundled up and had the best time together.

A Very Merry Meridian may be our new favorite tradition.  I had been reading about this light show for a few weeks and finally convinced Tim that it would be worth it to drive out to Saratoga Springs.  The lights are all timed to music and just so cool.  We stayed for the entire show which was about 30 minutes long and had a mix of Christmas and popular songs.

The Festival of Lights in Spanish Fork did not disappoint.  Dinner with cousins, and then everyone piled into Cory's truck.  It really was one of our favorite memories from December

Thanksgiving Point is one of our favorite places for family adventures.  This was the first year that we have been to Luminaria and it was even better than I expected.  Being there at night, in the cold, with so many lights really made it feel magical.  We went on the first night of me and the kids' break from work and school which made the entire night even better.
