Disneyland 2018 - Day 3

As we arrived at the park on our last day of the trip, we definitely looked like we belonged with all of the Disney crew - new ears, new Disney stuffed animals (Baby Stitch and Baby Angel), and definitely some tired eyes.  Grandpa and Grandma decided to meet us a little later in the day, so Tim and I decided to start with California Adventures and hit the rides that were still on the kids wishlist.

Tim and Ruby headed to the famous Mickey Ferris wheel.  Ruby loved every minute of it, and Tim spent most of the time feeling sick because of the height and motion.  Luckily they only had time to ride once.

Luke and I got a fast pass and ran right to Guardians of the Galaxy.  I thought the ride might be a little too scary for him and tried to talk him out of going, but it turns out, Luke was the brave one of the bunch.  The picture they took of us is perfect because I spent most of the ride screaming in terror while Luke was having the time of his life.  I think we may have an adrenaline junkie on our hands.

For the past three years the kids have met and talked to Captain America.  When we saw he was available, we decided we better get in line to see him before leaving California adventures.  The kids had the best time talking with him.  He always asks questions and really listens to the kids' answers.  He laughs and jokes with him before taking the time to get a good photos.  No wonder we love him.

The Winnie the Pooh ride was the perfect spot to relax.

Last year It's a Small World was closed while we were there because they were putting up the Christmas decorations.  This year we went when we knew it would be open and still almost missed the ride.  After planning our day around a fast pass, they closed the ride early to get ready for the fireworks.  When we got to the park on our last day, we made sure this ride was one of our top priorities and it was well worth all of the hassles.  It's a Small World at Christmas time might be one of my very favorite rides - even my dad loved it which tells you how great it must have been.

After dressing up as Alice in Wonderland for Halloween this year, Ruby was super excited for all of the Alice areas in Disneyland.  We all rode the Alice in Wonderland ride together, but then she and I were on our own for the tea cups - everyone else gets too sick.

Not on the ride, just a great prop.

We really love the Haunted Mansion, and it somehow
Felt like the perfect backdrop for a Christmas celebration.

On occasion we slowed down for just a minute to eat.

After three days together, we finally had to pack up our stuff and say goodbye to Disneyland as well as to Grandpa and Grandma.  We had the best time together and were so grateful they were able to be with us at Disneyland, our kids are super lucky to have such great grandparents.  It was tough to leave Disneyland after having so much fun but we somehow pulled ourselves away and headed home

He ended the trip working...
