So Long Soccer

Luke played his last Soccer game on Thursday and we were sad to see the season end.  Luke has had the best time playing with this team.  When we got the roster for the Shocks he was happy to see that his friends Katie and Evelyn were on the team.  The rest of the kids were new to us, but Luke is so friendly and always loves the chance to make several new friends.  Clark and Hallie ended up being in his kindergarten class so that was fun for him to see them every day.  He and Levi were a god combo on the field and became quite the little buddies.  They were pretty sad not to have any more games scheduled, but don't worry, there are already play dates in the making.

Tim and I have loved watching him play.  Coach Dave has been awesome at finding the right balance between having fun and making sure the kids learn some skills.  I have been impressed at how much Luke has improved - he has learned how to dribble and got several goals and assists during the season.  When he is not on the field Luke sits on the side and chants "go Purple" and "go Shocks go" and gets just excited when anyone on the team scores as if he had shot the goal himself.  Officially, there is no score keeping, but don't worry, Luke can give you the correct score any time you ask.  He likes it best when they get the most goals, but I love that he is learning to enjoy the game even when they don't.  We can hardly wait for next season to begin.

This game was so cold!

Very last game
