September, 2017

September is Tim's favorite month, and we had a pretty great one this year...family time, birthdays, playdates, and plenty of silliness with the kids.

These buddies have the best time together.

Ruby decided that she wanted to try clogging this year.  We found a "Mini" class and Ruby could hardly wait to get started.  We, of course, had to get new clickety clack shoes and clothes that are just for clogging.  The first class was awesome and she fell in love immediately.  Going to class has become our Friday morning date and one of our very favorite parts of the week.

Tim found some new "waffle stompers" at the DI for Luke.  They are too big and basically look like he is wearing a pair of Hokas.  Ever since Tim said they were like my running shoes, Luke has been desperate to run on the treadmill like mama.

Lately the kids have been really missing Everest and talk about him a lot.  Luke found an old photo of him and begged me to get a frame so he could put it in his room.  Everest's photo is now on a shelf in Luke's room and gets plenty of love from these two.

Sushi with the big kids.

Calvin turned 10, what better way to celebrate than with mazola chocolate cake.

I'm thrilled that Luke knows how to write his own name.  I'm much less thrilled that I have found his name in walls, toys, etc. throughout the house.

Oh how this little girl loves her Piggy Pig. Best Friends Forever!

Ruby loves to be silly and is always happy to have a partner in crime

Sadly, topless Jeep rides are over for the summer.

Erika turned 20 years old.  Last year she was in Seattle for her birthday and it was sad to have her so far away, especially for Tim.  This year we were thrilled to host her and her friends for a birthday celebration.  Pizza and chocolate cookies made the evening pretty close to perfect.

Grandma had a sleepover and Ruby loved having her hair in piggy tails.

Ruby loves to dress up like a princess and isn't picky about which dress, crown, etc.  One Sunday we had her ready for church when she decided her outfit was perfect for a princess so she ran to get her crown and other accessories.  She asked me to take some pictures and then when she looked at them said "ooooh, I look so pretty".  I loved her attitude and confidence and hope that she will always see a beautiful girl when she looks in the mirror.

Taylor turned 23 years old.  He was pretty excited about the new electronics.
