June 2019 - Part 1

Spring and summer this year started out slow...we had a lot of rain and cold weather, but rain or shine, the first weekend of June always means the Little Red ride in Logan.  For the past few years my cousin Suzi and I have ridden together and had so much fun.  This year both of us were somewhat under-trained, and for a minute or two, considered dropping down and riding the 50 or 70 miler.  But, after talking about it, we both decided that together we could make the 100 miles and to just "go big or go home".  It actually turned out to be a really great ride - perfect weather and we both felt strong. We finished smiling and loving the experience of riding together.

After school got out, we sat down as a family and wrote a "bucket list" of what we wanted to do this summer.  Top on the list from the kids was "sleepovers with cousins".  So...no better way to start out the first week of June than with a great big cousin party.

We found a new splash pad, and it is awesome!

Could these two girls be any cuter?

Best part of summer right there!

After a long day of work, somehow Nikki conned me into a picture

Round two at the splash park with the neighborhood kids

Art in the Park

So much fun with the neighborhood gang.

Luke earned a set of Shrinky Dinks

Tim and the kids continued their tradition of planting a garden

We looove when our out of state people come to town...

Luke loved having so many people cheering at his baseball game

We all got fancied up and took a trip to Spring City where we hung out at the greatest farm.  Everything in the house had been restored and the yard was absolutely beautiful.

One day she will regret these poses...

It's a trade off, one silly pose to get a couple of good ones

All of this hanging out was just in preparation for the main event...

Cory and Mandy Jean's wedding!!!!
They had the most beautiful ceremony and we are just so excited to add MJ, McCartney and Owen to our family.  We loved being able to celebrate with them in such a beautiful setting.  The night was perfect.

The kids get so excited for Father's Day.  We decided to get a fire pit for Tim and shopped for it weeks early to make sure we were prepared.  Tim opened presents with the babies before church, and then the big kids came down after for brunch. Tim is an incredible dad and I love watching how supportive and loving he is to all of the kids.  They are sure lucky to have him.

I didn't think to get a picture of everyone, but it was great to have all of our family together to celebrate Fathers Day with my dad.  We all are definitely blessed to have such an incredible dad and grandpa.  The grandkids especially think he is fantastic.

Ada created the best card ever!

One last outing with the Arizona cousins.

Luke has been wanting a motorcycle for a very long time.  He has worked to save his money and finally had enough to pay for half, so we decided to help him out and pay for the rest.  This kid was so excited and has loved riding in the neighborhood and on the river trail.
