September Babies

September has always been Tim's favorite month - he loves the fall leaves and the change in the weather.  The fact that two of his kids were born in September definitely pushed the month to the top of his list.  We were able to celebrate with both Erika and Taylor this year and are just so grateful for everything they each bring to our family.

Tim and Erika started out her celebration at the Pink Floyd Experience at the Eccles Theater.  They both loved the show and had great stories to tell about all of the interesting people sitting near them.  After the show Erika came back to Provo and stayed through the next day.  The kids loved having her around and did their best to make it a celebration with lunch, hikes, and games.  Erika was even able to cheer for Luke at one of his soccer games.  It was a great pre-birthday celebration.

On September 19th, her official birthday, Tim met Erika and Andreas in Salt Lake for brunch.  The had a great meal together and then had a chance to explore and see more of the fall leaves.  Tim and Erika have such a sweet relationship and I know he considers himself so lucky to be her dad. 

Ten days after Erika's, on September 29th, we were able to celebrate Taylor's birthday with the kids and Grandpa and Grandma Whitesides.  He chose to eat at Malwai Pizza in the Riverwoods.  After dinner we wandered through the courtyard areas to listen to music, watch the kids dance, and eventually find a place to open presents.  Luke an Ruby adore having Taylor live so close to us and think he is such an amazing big brother.  He is generous with his time and always so quick to pop over to our house any time Tim mentions that he needs any type of help.  We have loved watching him grow and learn and develop into an amazing man.

Taylor was able to stretch his birthday into two celebrations with a second party in Santaquin at Sunday dinner.  All of the little kids completely idolize him so they were super excited to help him celebrate.  Ok, mostly they just wanted to help blow out the candles.  Either way, Taylor got a cake , and candles and we all hope that his best birthday wishes come true.
