School starts for Luke and Ruby in the middle of August, which always feels so unfair - there is still so much playing to do and adventures to be had. This year we worked hard to squeeze every bit of fun possible out of those last few weeks. Looking back, I'm so glad for all of the memories in the sun.
Provo Rec with besties is the best way to spend a summer afternoon.
The cousins came to play which makes everything even more fun.
We had a great time with the dinosaurs at Thanksgiving Point.
My cute friend Jill organized an overnighter to a cabin with our girl gang from highschool. Six of us ended up going and it was the most amazing 24 hours. We laughed, and talked, and snacked, and sat around enjoying the beauty of the mountains. I went out early for a run (well maybe more of a walk), but it just made me so happy to be out in such a gorgeous place. I was also listening to an awesome book (Hail Mary), so that kept me motivated to stay out on the trails. We all came home feeling so refreshed, and committed to making more time for each other.
We missed the parade, but we did make it to the Santaquin Days rodeo and fireworks and it was a hoot.
Luke and his buddies living their best lives.
The Whitesides cousins came down from Logan which was extra exciting since we don't see them as much. The kids got to go to the arcade, the trampoline park with them, and then we all met up at the waterpark. Turns out we were all too busy having fun to take any more pictures than this one.
The last weekend before school started, we took a little staycation to Salt Lake. We went to eat at our favorite taco place, and then stayed in a hotel. The next morning we headed to Lagoon where we had so much fun together.
For the final leg of the staycation, we stopped at Hansen Planetarium to explore. Tim and I may have napped through the star show, but everything else was awesome.
