Thanksgiving 2018

Two years ago the Broadbents/Whitesides went to the Marriott for Thanksgiving and I don't think we ever stopped talking about how great the whole experience had been.  This year when my mom suggested that we go again, we all quickly agreed. Once again, we had the best day.  I got up early and went to the gym but then we spent the rest of the morning relaxing and watching the Thanksgiving Day parade on TV.  When we arrived at the hotel to eat, the only work we had to do was try to keep Luke and Ruby from running wild.  Other than that, we had a great time eating and visiting together.   The adults appreciated the high end food and the kids were completely thrilled with the cotton candy and cupcakes.

After we ate, Ada and I went for a walk around

My parents decided to book a room for the night so we could have access to the pool.  There were no other guests and the pool and the kids and grandma had so much fun playing together.

Most of the adults didn't even pretend to swim.

After swimming, everyone came to our house for pie and dessert.  I didn't think to take a picture before we got started, but this one was just enough to remember the great pies and the ongoing party.  We really had a fantastic day.  Despite some ups and downs, it was still pretty easy to focus on how blessed we really are.
