For our second day at the parks we headed straight to Disney California Adventures. Just looking at these photos reminds me of how much fun we had that day. This part of the park has some of our favorite rides and we were happy to see that it wasn't quite so crowded when we first arrived. We don't have any photos of it, but Soarin Over California may have been the overall crowd favorite. My favorite thing is to experience the wonder of that ride through my kids eyes. We spent most of the day on the adventure side and were able to hit nearly every ride on our list. We then went over to Disneyland for a little more fun when the park closed early.
Just hanging with Walt and Mickey
Sibling bliss!
Last year we discovered the Riverwood Creek ChallengeTrail and the kids were so excited to go back - especially since Grandpa was there to join the adventures. They did the zip lines several times then ran off to play on the ropes course and slides. After about an hour we finally coaxed them out of the woods to go back to the rides.
The rides at Disneyland are fantastic, but my very favorite attraction is the live Frozen show. We decided to go to the very first show of the day to make sure we didn't miss it and, thanks to my mom's Jazzy, we ended up with seats a few rows from the stage. The show is fantastic - all of our favorite songs and the best staging. They rotate actors and this year might have been the best so far.
This is the closest we got to a movie studio...but it's enough.
Even better with Santa
Don't worry, we remember you Coco
Ruby got to play with the Mariachi Divas and we were all impressed. This all girl band has won several Grammys and were incredible performers. I loved how they interacted with the crowd and were able to get so many people up dancing.
The best photo op in the park and we took full advantage
Who knew that car parts could be so great for decorating.
Meet and greets with the superstars is one of our favorite things about Disneyland.
And the street party with DJ Dance
Luke, Tim and I took this ride on together and I think we all laughed and screamed through the entire ride. By the time the ride finally stopped I was so ready to get off, but Luke convinced Tim to get right back in line and go again. We have a roller coaster junkie and two very wimpy parents.
We made it back to Disneyland that night just in time to take a few quick photos
