The Fourth of July this year was practically perfect and I wish we could go back and do it all over again. The older I get the more I love this holiday - the parades, the fireworks, the celebration of freedoms, and the themed clothes. Oh, the clothes...this year I might have been a little over the top with double outfits and themed swim suits. The problem is that I bought clothes on sale last year, then forgot I had them and bought some more this year. The way Luke and Ruby are growing they wont last another year, so it seemed like fun to have several costume changes for the day.
The Fourth of July was our last day in Park City so naturally we started out in the pool - at least the kids did. While we were at the pool, Taylor and Brycen arrived which made the whole day seem so much more like a celebration.
We were pretty excited when we found out that Park City has a parade on the Fourth, and it didn't start until 11:00 a.m., even better. Once the kids had finished swimming, we got changed and walked down to the parade. The parade was quite different than any we have been to - mostly local entries and plenty of booze, but Luke and Ruby thought it was amazing and that is all that matters.
Our location was so perfect, after the parade we walked back to our condo and Tim made hamburgers. We ate lunch by the pool and then everyone, even grandpa and grandma, swam.
It sure seems like we have done a lot already, but when we finally pulled the kids out of the pool, we all got showered and changed and headed down the canyon to the Stadium of Fire. It has become the best tradition and I think we were all pretty excited. This year it was awesome...Tim loved the firework and I thought the band was great. Oh and he fireworks - awesome!
And just a few more of these shots, I just love their suits.
