December - Santa & The Lights

One year Luke and Ruby are going to think they are too old to take pictures with Santa, but luckily, this year was not that year.  When I asked if they wanted to do a photo session this year, they were both excited and started talking about what pajamas to wear.  I asked about taking Hamilton since he is no longer a puppy, but again, that was a definite "yes".

As much as we loved hanging out with dad/Santa, the kids were really excited to go to the Riverwoods to see the real Santa and drop off their Christmas lists.  This has been a tradition since Ruby was a baby, and I just love all of it - Santa, the lights, the picture spots, and dinner at one of the restaurants to finish the evening.  Luke was  a little camera shy, but Ruby was more than willing to take as many shots, is many locations as I requested.

The boys were tired, but Ruby and I still had enough energy to
Ride the carousel at the Provo Beach Resort before going home.

We discovered the light show at A Very Merry Meridian last year and couldn't wait to see the new show this year.  It did not disappoint.  We all sat in the car totally in awe and completely entere

Pictures in front of our very own lights are some of my very favorites!

Luminaria at Thanksgiving Point was just so magical.  We went a few days before Christmas and it got us all so excited for the big day.  Luke and Ruby ran from one lit area to the next, and spent a lot of time wrestling and playing in the snow.  Spending a few hours with my family in a brightly lit wonderland really was perfection.
