February Miscellaneous, 2021

When I first started this blog, I felt like I had a lot to say, and my posts were primarily text with a few pictures.  Fast forward 10 or so years, and my content has definitely changed.  I still have plenty to say, but my focus has shifted and I now seem to care more about documenting in pictures than in words.  Maybe I'm just tired, I'm definitely tired, but really I think the pictures are just more fun.

Anyway, February felt like more of the same - winter blahs - and doing our best to find some fun and adventure. Lucky for us, there is always fun to be had at Thanksgiving Point.  We invited our neighbors and headed out for a day at the Dinosaur Museum and the Butterfly Biosphere.  I tried not to bug them too much for pictures, but a photo in front of the megladon is a classic.

Ruby was excited to meet a gnome.

The butterfly biosphere was definitely the highlight.  Drake and Brexley had never been and I think they were pretty impressed with all of the flying friends that we met.

Really this blog is just becoming the place to post a ridiculous amount of dog pictures.  I like to tease Tim and the kids, but it really is crazy how in love we all are with this little critter.  And yep, in the space of a few months I went from refusing to have a dog in my house, to most nights, sleeping with a dog in my bed.  Talk about whiplash!

We celebrated President's day at the trampoline park.

Juniper is seven!!!  These besties loved celebrating together.

Luke's basketball season is over and we are all pretty sad about it.  This season has been great for Luke - he has gained so much confidence as a player and has really had a fun time.  During the games he has been aggressive, leading to a lot of steals and assists.  His final game was awesome, four baskets, several steals and a few assists.  His team ended up 6-1-1, way to go Swarm!

Ruby loved going to the games so she could practice climbing.

Nothing better than cousin time.

I haven't always loved puzzles - not enough patience - but Ruby and I had so much fun putting this one together.  She has a great eye and really did a great job with the small little pieces.

The family that hot tubs together....
Taylor graduated from college and we are just so proud of him!!!  He has been working so hard over the past few years and has accomplished so much in a short amount of time.  He is so excited to start looking for a job as a computer programmer.  Any company will be lucky to have him, he is so smart and dedicated and just an awesome guy.  Unfortunately, Covid means no in person graduation, but we celebrate him and honor his hard work.

Dad's science experiment was pretty exciting.

Brycen has been working at Snow Basin this winter and loves it.  He gave Tim a lift ticket for Christmas and they finally had a chance to spend the day together skiing.

We were lucky to have a few sunny days and spent one particularly great one at the lake.  We got a little more adventure than we planned for when Hamilton fell through the ice.  Poor puppy, he was terrified and spent the next half hour shaking and shivering.  We were all terrified and so relieved that he was ok.

Poor Ruby got sick at school and had to be picked up by Tim.  Luckily, it wasn't too serious and after a nap, she was feeling much better.
