Eleven years ago Tim and I said our vows and promised to love each other always. It's been a wild ride with several unexpected bumps along the way. But I'm so grateful that eleven years ago we chose, and every day we continue to choose to love each other.
Our favorite way to celebrate our anniversary is to get away for a few days - preferably somewhere with a beach. Thanks to Covid, that didn't seem like an option this year, but we still wanted a mini break. So, we headed back to the Hyatt where we spent the first night after we were married. It wasn't quite as exotic as we had been hoping for, but it ended up being awesome. We spent a lot of our time lounging by the pool and watching movies in our room.
We took advantage of not having the kids to go on a tougher hike. I had heard a lot about the Bells Canyon Falls trail and it did not disappoint. We passed a reservoir...
And Tim made a new friend.
The hike was so beautiful with plenty of views.
The last mile or so of the hike was tough,
But making it to the waterfall was totally worth it.
Meanwhile...back at home....Luke and Ruby stayed with Grandpa and Grandma and had the best time playing with cousins and going on adventures.
The total highlight was the fishing trip with grandma,
She really is the best sport.
