So June may be half way over, but May passed in a flash and I'm still trying to get caught up. Luckily we take a lot of pictures so we have something to remember all of the month's adventures.
We spent a Friday afternoon and evening at the Thanksgiving Point farm - Tim was able to be with us and it turns out it was his very first time. We had a great time milking cows, riding ponies, petting horses and feeding the goats and sheep. The goats were so funny and kept "yelling" at us for more food. The kids thought it was great. We had such a fun night together with the animals.
Luke got a chance to hang out with all of the boys and go golfing and he was immediately hooked. I'm sure a big part of the fun was hanging out with the cousins and driving around in the golf cart. But no matter the reason, he has now decided that he loves to golf and talks all the time about how much fun it is. Tim has helped encourage him with a few golf balls, and thanks to the DI he now owns a putter. I think Luke is currently trying to figure out the best way to get back onto a course.
Ruby was so proud of Tim's very first braid
Luke's journal entry was the sweetest!
Park time in pajamas
Tim and the kids had the bet time hiking and exploring Ogden Canyon.
Two days after Ruby had her tonsils out, my mom had shoulder replacement surgery. When Sunday rolled around, no one was up for a Sunday dinner gathering so we decided to take our little family on a drive up the Sundance side of Provo Canyon. We stopped a few times to explore the trails and were especially excited to watch a family of deer enjoying the warm afternoon.
When we left we had no specific plan, so when we saw a sign for Cascade Springs, we took the road less traveled and headed there to check out the springs. Tim had never been there and I only remember going when I was a little kid. Getting to the springs takes a little bit of effort but man was it worth it. We all spent the entire visit in awe and making remarks about how beautiful the area was. The kids loved looking for bugs, birds, bees and anything else that moved. Exploring and enjoying nature with my family is turning into one of my favorite activities.
Memorial day was pretty low key this year. Ruby was still recovering and we were trying to not do too much to wear her out. We did some things around the house in the morning, then did make it down to the cemetery for a short visit.
We had all of the family together for an evening
We were pretty excited to be together
School has long been forgotten and these boys have moved on to much more interesting pursuits like running through the sprinklers and Pokemon cards.
Meanwhile, inside, Tim ran the nail salon.

Are always my favorite!
