It had been too long since we had been to St. George, so when my parents invited us to join them (at Jarin and Jami's house), we were quick to say yes. After a long cold winter, and so much time inside, it felt pretty magical to spend so much time in the sunshine.
The kids fell in love with Sand Hollow. The water was beautiful, but super cold. We all spent time out on the paddleboards, but the kids were mostly content to just dig and play in the sand. Hanging out in the sunshine, watching my babies experience life, is definitely my happy place.
I had brought several work files from home that needed to be delivered to my boss. He lives at La Entrada and was nice enough to schedule a time for us to use the pool for a couple of hours. Ruby was especially excited to be at the exact place where High School Musical 2 was filmed.
Thunder Junction park is one of our favorites places to play when we are in St. George. Because of Spring Break, it was super busy, but there was still plenty of space for the kids to run, and they loved cooling off in the water. The train is the best part, and this time we even got to ride in the caboose.
Luke was so excited to be invited to go hit golf balls with Grandpa. He and Tim had so much fun. When they came back, Luke told me that golf was now his favorite sport. But that didn't seem to last too long and he is back to dreaming of being the star quarterback and playing in the NFL.
The last time Tim and I were in Zion's park, the kids were babies so it seemed like we were due for another visit. After exploring Moab, Luke and Ruby were excited about visiting another national park. Having Grandpa and Grandma along for this trip made it even more of an adventure. We did several small hikes, ate a picnic lunch, and spent a crazy amount of time just being amazed by the beauty. We just live in such an amazing part of this amazing world!
We hiked to the beginning of the Narrows "trail".
