State of the Union
Here is Utah, for the first time in a long time, there is actually a race for the governor. Meaning, there is a Democrat that has a chance and is a valid challenger. I haven't made up my mind who to support, still listening to the posturing of both sides. They seem to be ramping up the criticism. The quote today from the current Governor Gary Herbert made me laugh out loud: "I believe if we gave Peter (Caroon) a dozen donuts, all he's going to see are the holes". Oh man, this is starting to sound like a battle for student council. Can't wait to see what comes next.

Why Do You Do It?
One of the many reasons I run:
"It's not like somebody else can run a marathon for you. It's all you out there. Finishing means you can say, 'There's not a lot I can't do.'" (Kenneth Feld)
So why do you do what you do?

What the?
Look closely, notice the large, cement gorilla landscaping the building. Because you should always have a gorilla to welcome your customers or clients, right? I drove in the parking lot to try to figure out if there was a reason the business had thought this was a good idea but to no avail. Maybe it was a practical joke gone wrong. I could see my brothers getting involved in something like that. Or maybe they just sell large gorilla statutes. The market is probably hot.

Birthday twins
These two cuties share a birthday. Luckies!
I volunteered to make the cakes. Oh wait, this isn't the cake I made.
This is a little more my style. Ada requested chocolate cake with pink and white frosting, Tim requested peanut butter fingers. They may not be fancy, but I delivered.
This last shot is just oozing with class. Yes, the peanut butter fingers have been nibbled on, what can I say, they were delish. And Miles? All boy!

Simply Amazing
'>http://
Last night Tim and I were flipping channels and somehow stopped on BYU TV where they were broadcasting the National Scout Jamboree. We both just sat there staring, then laughing at a live performance of Born to Be a Scout. I wish I could find the clip on youtube. The video to the song is great, but nowhere near as amazing as the live performance. It included scouts line dancing, trying to dance hip hop, and lots of close ups of scouts in the audience who were way too cool for school. Enjoy. It should make it easy to escape reality for minute.
BTW, I have no idea why there are two links to the video - maybe because it is just that good.
